Set Up PremierVPN X on Android
Install from Google Play, sign in with your portal account, and connect through VLESS + REALITY in under five minutes. Your traffic will look like normal HTTPS browsing.
Before You Begin
Note: PremierVPN X is a separate app from the standard PremierVPN WireGuard app. You can install both on the same device — they use different protocols and don't conflict. Only connect through one at a time.
Download the App
Download PremierVPN X from the Google Play Store and install it on your device.
Get it on Google PlaySign In
Open PremierVPN X and sign in with the same email and password you use on premiervpn.net.
- Open PremierVPN X
- Enter your email address and password — these are the same credentials you use to log in to premiervpn.net
- Tick Keep me signed in if you want to stay logged in
- Tap Sign In
Two-Factor Authentication: if you have 2FA enabled on your account, you'll be prompted to enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app after signing in.

Select a Server
- From the dashboard tap Servers
- Browse servers by country
- Tap any server to select it — it will appear on the dashboard
- You can mark servers as favourites by tapping the star icon
Connect
- From the dashboard tap the Connect button
- If prompted, tap OK to allow VPN permission — this only appears the first time
- The button will turn green and show Connected when the VPN is active
- A VPN notification will appear in your notification bar confirming the connection is active
Android VPN permission: on first connect, Android asks for permission to create a VPN connection. This is a one-time system dialog — once granted, PremierVPN X won't ask again. The permission grants traffic-routing capability only; it does not give the app access to your browsing content.
Disconnect
- Tap the Disconnect button on the dashboard
- Or tap Disconnect in the VPN notification in your notification bar
- The connection will close and your traffic will return to normal
Switching Servers
You must disconnect before switching to a different server. Tap Disconnect, select a new server from the Servers screen, then tap Connect again.
Exploring the App
Account
Tap Account from the dashboard to view:
- Your subscription status and expiry date
- Your plan details
- Your VPN credentials
Settings
Tap Settings from the dashboard to manage:
- Auto Connect — connect automatically when the app opens
- Auto Reconnect — automatically reconnect if the connection drops
- Connect on Boot — connect automatically when the device restarts
Diagnostics
If you're having connection issues, tap Diagnostics from the dashboard and tap Run to check:
- Internet connectivity
- DNS resolution
- Portal API availability
- Proxy port status
Troubleshooting
Cannot connect
Check your internet connection is working. Try a different server from the Servers screen. Tap Diagnostics from the dashboard and run the built-in health checks to identify which part of the connection is failing.
Keeps disconnecting
Enable Auto Reconnect in Settings so the app automatically re-establishes the tunnel if it drops. If it still disconnects often, try a server in a closer location — high-latency connections are more susceptible to network timeouts.
Forgot password
Visit premiervpn.net and use the password reset option. Once you've reset it, sign in to the app with your new password.
Subscription not recognised
Make sure you're signing in with the correct email address — the one you used to subscribe. Log in to premiervpn.net in a browser to confirm your subscription is still active.
Difference between PremierVPN and PremierVPN X
PremierVPN uses WireGuard — fastest raw speeds for everyday use. PremierVPN X uses VLESS + REALITY — designed for networks that block VPN traffic (corporate firewalls, restrictive countries, censored networks). Both are included in your subscription.
Can I run both apps at the same time?
You can install both, but only connect through one at a time. Disconnect from PremierVPN (WireGuard) before connecting with PremierVPN X, and vice versa.
