Set Up PremierVPN on Linux
Download, install, and connect in under 2 minutes. Works on Ubuntu, Debian, and other Debian-based distributions.
Download
Download the PremierVPN installer package from our downloads page.
Go to DownloadsDownload the file: premiervpn_1.0.0_all.deb
Install
Open a terminal and run the following commands:
This installs PremierVPN and all required dependencies automatically.
Launch
Open PremierVPN from your application menu, or launch it from the terminal:
Sign In
Enter your PremierVPN portal login details — the same email and password you use to log into portal.premiervpn.net.
Use your portal login
Sign in with the same email and password you use at portal.premiervpn.net. This is your account login, not a separate VPN credential.
Don't have an account? Click Create Account in the app or sign up here.
Connect
Select a server from the list and click Connect. The power button turns green when you're connected — all your traffic is now encrypted.
Updating
Download the latest .deb from our downloads page and install it the same way — it upgrades automatically.
Uninstalling
To remove PremierVPN from your system:
Troubleshooting
Make sure the PremierVPN background service is running:
Try the following:
- Check your internet connection is working
- Try selecting a different server
- Restart the background service:
The app uses your portal login credentials — the same email and password you use to sign in at portal.premiervpn.net. These are not separate VPN credentials. If you've forgotten your password, reset it at the portal login page.
