We Can't Share What We Don't Have
PremierVPN operates a strict no-log policy. We never monitor, record, or store your browsing activity. This page explains exactly what we do and don't collect, how our infrastructure works, and why you can trust us with your privacy.
What We Don't Collect
The following data is never logged, stored, or transmitted from our VPN servers. Our servers are configured to discard this information in real time — it is never written to disk.
Browsing activity
We never log which websites you visit, what content you access, or what files you download through the VPN.
DNS queries
All DNS requests are resolved through our private DNS servers and are not logged. Your ISP cannot see your DNS queries when connected.
Connection timestamps
We do not record when you connect, disconnect, or how long your sessions last.
Source IP addresses
Your real IP address is never logged or associated with your VPN activity. When connected, only the VPN server's IP is visible to the outside world.
Bandwidth usage per session
We do not track how much data you transfer during individual VPN sessions.
VPN server IP assignments
We do not record which VPN IP address was assigned to which user at any given time.
What We Do Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the service, process payments, and provide customer support. This data is never linked to your VPN activity.
Account information
Email address and password hash for your portal account. Required for login, billing, and support communication.
Payment records
Transaction IDs, billing cycle, and plan type. We do not store full credit card numbers — payment processing is handled by Stripe and PayPal.
VPN credentials
Your VPN username and password hash, used to authenticate your connection to our servers. These are separate from your portal login.
Active session count
A real-time counter of how many devices are currently connected to enforce plan limits. This counter is not logged — it exists only in memory and resets when you disconnect.
Support tickets
Content of support tickets and communications you initiate with us. We do not proactively monitor your account or activity.
How Our Infrastructure Works
Our servers are configured to make logging technically impossible — not just a policy choice.
No Disk Logging
VPN server processes are configured to send logs to /dev/null (nowhere). Activity data is never written to disk, even temporarily.
RAM-Based Sessions
Active session data (connected users, assigned IPs) exists only in server memory. When a server reboots, all session data is permanently erased.
Private DNS
We run our own recursive DNS resolvers on every VPN server. DNS queries never leave the encrypted tunnel and are resolved locally without logging.
Shared IP Architecture
Multiple users share the same VPN server IP simultaneously. Even if traffic were observed externally, it cannot be attributed to any individual user.
Encrypted Connections
All traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted with WireGuard (ChaCha20) or OpenVPN (AES-256). ISPs and network observers see only encrypted data.
Regular Security Updates
Our server fleet receives automated security patches and kernel updates. We monitor for vulnerabilities and respond to CVEs within our maintenance windows.
UK Jurisdiction
PremierVPN is registered and operated in the United Kingdom. The UK has data protection laws under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 that provide strong safeguards for personal data.
While the UK is a member of the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, this is only relevant if data exists to be requested. Because we do not log VPN activity, there is no browsing data, connection data, or activity data to hand over in response to any request — regardless of jurisdiction.
If we were to receive a legal request for user data, we would only be able to provide the account information listed above (email address, payment records). We cannot provide VPN activity logs because they do not exist.
In plain English:
We store your email so you can log in, and your payment records so we can process billing. We do not store anything about what you do while connected to the VPN. If a government agency asked us for your browsing history, we would have nothing to give them — because we never recorded it in the first place.
Privacy FAQ
We use a real-time in-memory counter that tracks how many devices are currently connected to your account. This counter exists only in RAM and is not written to any log file. When you disconnect, the count decreases. When the server reboots, all counters reset to zero.
Our RADIUS server processes authentication requests (verifying your VPN username and password). Authentication success/failure is handled in real time. We do not retain session logs, connection timestamps, or assigned IP addresses from RADIUS.
No. Your traffic is encrypted between your device and our VPN server. Even though traffic exits through our server to the internet, we do not inspect, monitor, or log it. Our servers are configured to route packets without recording their contents or destinations.
We can only provide account information (email, payment records). We cannot provide VPN activity data because it is not collected or stored. We would comply with valid UK legal processes to the extent of the data we actually possess — which does not include browsing history, connection logs, or DNS queries.
We have not yet undergone a third-party security audit. As we grow, an independent audit of our no-log claims is something we intend to pursue. In the meantime, our infrastructure is configured to make logging technically impossible, not just prohibited by policy.
Our marketing website uses minimal analytics to understand traffic patterns. The VPN client portal and VPN servers do not include any third-party analytics, trackers, or advertising scripts.
Our complete privacy policy is available at the Privacy Policy page. It covers data collection, processing, retention, and your rights under UK GDPR in full detail.
