Password Exposure Alerts
Test any password against a database of over 600 million compromised passwords collected from real-world data breaches. If your password has been leaked, attackers can use it in automated credential-stuffing attacks against your accounts.
Your privacy is protected by a technique called k-anonymity. Your password is hashed locally in your browser using SHA-1. Only the first 5 characters of the hash are sent to the API — your actual password never leaves your device. The matching happens entirely on your end.

Dark Web Monitoring

Yes. We use a technique called k-anonymity. Your password is hashed in your browser using SHA-1, and only the first 5 characters of the hash are sent to the API. The full hash (and your actual password) never leave your device. The API returns all matching suffixes, and the comparison happens entirely in your browser.
Change the password on the breached service immediately. If you use the same password on other sites, change those too. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) wherever possible. Consider using a password manager to generate and store unique passwords for every account.
We recommend running a full scan at least once a week, or whenever you hear about a major data breach in the news. The email breach database is updated regularly as new breaches are discovered and verified.
The score ranges from 0 (clean) to 100 (high risk). A score of 0 means no abuse reports have been filed against that IP. Scores above 25 may indicate the IP has been flagged for spam, brute force attempts, or other malicious activity. For VPN server IPs, low scores (under 25) are normal and not a concern.
Yes, you can check any email address — this is useful for checking family members' or colleagues' accounts with their permission. The daily limit is 3 email checks per day.
Email breach checks and dark web monitoring are powered by Have I Been Pwned (HIBP), the world's largest and most trusted breach notification service. IP reputation checks use AbuseIPDB, a global database of reported malicious IP addresses. Password checks use the HIBP Pwned Passwords API with k-anonymity.
