Password Generator
Create strong, unguessable passwords in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers — passwords are generated and displayed entirely on your device.
100% private — nothing you generate touches our servers. Open developer tools and check the network tab to verify.
How to Choose a Strong Password
Length beats complexity
A 16-character password with only lowercase letters is harder to crack than an 8-character password mixing upper case, numbers, and symbols. Every extra character exponentially increases the number of possible combinations. Aim for at least 16 characters; 20 or more is even better.
Why passphrases work
Four or five random words strung together — like correct-horse-battery-staple — can be dramatically easier to remember than a string of random characters, while being mathematically just as strong. Modern password cracking focuses on dictionary attacks and common substitutions, but truly random word combinations defeat those attacks.
Never reuse passwords
When a website you use is breached — and with enough time, most are — attackers try those leaked email/password combinations on every other service. This is called credential stuffing, and it's how most account takeovers happen. Every account needs a unique password.
Use a password manager
The only realistic way to have unique strong passwords for every account is to use a password manager. Bitwarden, 1Password, and KeePass are all solid options. Your browser's built-in manager is a reasonable starting point too, though purpose-built managers offer better cross-device sync and security auditing.
Enable two-factor authentication
Even the strongest password can be phished, keylogged, or stolen. Two-factor authentication (2FA) using an authenticator app like Aegis or Authy adds a second layer that attackers can't easily bypass. Enable it on every account that supports it — especially email, banking, and cloud storage.
Strong passwords are only part of the story
A password protects your accounts. A VPN protects everything else — the network you connect to, the sites you visit, and the data you send. Together, they form the foundation of good personal security.
