XHTTP Now Live Across the Entire PremierVPN Network
XHTTP VLESS is now live on every PremierVPN server. Here's what it is, why it matters for restrictive networks, and how to use it today.
We're rolling out XHTTP VLESS on every server in the PremierVPN fleet. It's one of the most resilient transport methods available today for getting a reliable, private connection in places where ordinary VPN traffic gets throttled, blocked, or flagged — and it's available right now through your subscription URL, with native support coming to the PremierVPN X apps shortly.
What is XHTTP?
XHTTP is a modern transport for the VLESS protocol that disguises your connection as ordinary web traffic. Where traditional VPN protocols announce themselves with recognisable patterns that censorship systems can fingerprint and drop, XHTTP shapes its traffic to look like the everyday HTTPS requests your browser makes thousands of times a day.
Combined with REALITY — the camouflage layer we already use across our anti-censorship servers — it borrows the TLS “fingerprint” of a major, trusted website, so deep-packet-inspection systems see nothing out of the ordinary. If you'd like a deeper look at how the underlying protocol works, our guide to VLESS+REALITY covers the mechanics in full.
The practical upshot: in restrictive networks where other methods stall or get cut off, XHTTP keeps working. It's particularly effective against the kinds of active probing and protocol-detection used in heavily filtered regions.
Why we're adding it everywhere
We've spent a long time building PremierVPN into a self-contained anti-censorship platform, with a strong focus on the regions that need it most. XHTTP joins our existing toolkit — VLESS+REALITY, our DNS resilience tools, and our content-delivery-fronted connections — as another route through networks that try to keep people offline.
By enabling it across the whole fleet rather than a handful of servers, you get the resilience of XHTTP regardless of which location you connect to. More routes mean more ways through, and more ways through means a connection that holds up when it matters. You can see all the locations we cover on our server locations page.
How to use it today
Native, one-tap XHTTP support is coming to the PremierVPN X apps on all platforms soon. Until then, you can use it immediately in any compatible third-party client through your subscription URL.
- Sign in to your account at the customer portal and copy your personal subscription URL.
- Open a compatible VLESS client (popular options include v2rayN, v2rayNG, v2RayTun, and NekoBox).
- Add a new subscription and paste your URL.
- Update the subscription — your XHTTP servers will appear in the server list alongside your other connections.
- Pick a server and connect.
Your subscription stays current automatically: as we add servers or update configurations, refreshing the subscription pulls the latest settings, so you don't have to re-enter anything by hand.
Which plan do I need?
XHTTP is available to subscribers with access to our anti-censorship servers. If you're not sure which plan covers your needs, our Premium VPN plan includes full access to the VLESS+REALITY and XHTTP network. Existing subscribers can check their portal for the subscription URL straight away.
What's next
The headline feature is bringing XHTTP into the PremierVPN X apps natively, so you get the same resilience with the simplicity of our own one-tap experience — no third-party client, no manual setup. That work is underway and we'll announce availability as each platform ships. Setup guides for PremierVPN X on macOS and PremierVPN X on Windows are already live if you want to get familiar with the app in the meantime.
In the meantime, the full XHTTP network is live and ready through your subscription URL. If you're connecting from a restrictive network and want the most robust option we offer, this is it.
