Understanding User Limits and Session Limits
Last updated 15 Mar 2026 ยท 5 views
Business VPN plans come with a maximum number of team members you can add, and each member has a limit on how many devices can connect simultaneously.
User Limits
Your plan determines the maximum number of VPN users (team members) you can create. The current usage is displayed on the Team Management page as a progress bar (e.g., "5 of 10 members").
If you need more team member slots than your current plan allows, you can upgrade to a higher-tier Business plan.
Simultaneous Session Limits
Each team member has a default limit of 2 simultaneous device connections. This means a single team member can be connected to PremierVPN from up to 2 devices at the same time (e.g., a laptop and a mobile phone).
The session limit for each member is shown on the Team Management page under their details.
Personal Plans
Personal (non-business) plans also have a simultaneous session limit, which is determined by the plan tier:
- Personal VPN โ up to 5 simultaneous device connections
- Premium VPN โ up to 10 simultaneous device connections
This is the number of devices you can connect to the VPN at the same time under your single VPN account.
Note: If you attempt to connect from more devices than your limit allows, the connection will be refused until you disconnect from another device.
