How Billing Cycles Work

Understanding your billing cycle helps you manage your subscription and avoid unexpected charges.

Available Billing Cycles

PremierVPN offers the following billing frequencies:

Monthly — billed every month
Quarterly — billed every 3 months
Semi-Annual — billed every 6 months
Annual — billed every 12 months
Biennial — billed every 24 months

Tip: Longer billing cycles offer significant savings. An annual plan can save you up to 40% compared to paying monthly.

How Renewals Work

When you subscribe, your first billing period begins immediately. Your "Current Period" dates are shown on the Dashboard.

Card Payments (Stripe)

Renewals are processed automatically via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported at checkout. Your card is charged on the renewal date — no action needed from you.

PayPal Payments

Renewals are processed automatically through your PayPal billing agreement.

Cryptocurrency Payments (Bitcoin / Lightning)

Crypto payments are not automatically recurring. You will receive an email with a payment link before your renewal is due. You can also click "Renew Now (Crypto)" on the Dashboard when your renewal date is within 7 days. We accept Bitcoin and Lightning Network payments via BTCPay Server.
