You can cancel any service yourself from the client portal. Your service keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and nothing renews after that.
Cancel a service
- Sign in to the portal and go to VPN › My services.
- Find the service you want to cancel and click Cancel service at the bottom of its card.
- The window shows what happens and the date your service will end. Optionally, tell us why you're leaving in the Why are you cancelling? box.
- Click Cancel at end of period. If you change your mind at this point, click Keep my service.
The service card now shows Ending and a notice saying the date it ends.
Lifetime services don't have a Cancel service button. Open a ticket if you need to close one.
What happens after you cancel
- Your service keeps working until the end date, on every app and protocol.
- No renewal invoice is created and no further payments are taken. If you pay by card, a PayPal automatic payment or Direct Debit, we stop those automatic payments for you. If we can't confirm they've stopped, you'll see a message and our team makes sure you aren't charged again.
- On the end date the service closes. Your VPN credentials stop working, and any dedicated IP or dedicated server on that service is released.
- Any unpaid invoices for that service are cancelled.
- Your portal account stays. You can order again any time from My services with Order another service (or Choose a plan if you have no active services).
Paying through an app store?
- App Store, Google Play or Amazon Appstore: the store bills you, so you cancel in the store. On My services the button says How to cancel and shows the steps. On iPhone or iPad go to Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
FAQs
Do I get a refund for the time left?
Cancelling doesn't refund anything automatically. If your payment was made in the last 30 days, you're covered by our money-back guarantee: use Request a refund on the service instead. See How Refunds Are Handled.
Can I undo a cancellation?
