PrMail is PremierVPN's private email service. This guide explains who can use it, how to create your @prmail.uk address and where to find everything in the portal.
What PrMail does
PrMail gives you an @prmail.uk address with a webmail inbox built into the PremierVPN portal. There's nothing to install. Alongside normal email, it includes privacy tools:
- Privacy levels that control how much of an incoming email is loaded. See Privacy Levels.
- Tracking protection that strips tracking pixels and remote fonts. See Tracking Protection and IP Privacy.
- Link defanger that cleans and checks links. See Link Defanger.
- Sender trust badges on every email you open. See Sender Trust Badges.
- Aliases and anonymous identities so you can give each service its own address. See Email Aliases and Compartmentalisation.
- Disposable reply addresses that hide your real address when you reply. See Disposable Reply Addresses.
- Secure Messages that self-destruct after viewing. See Self-Destructing Secure Messages.
- Send-time randomisation that delays outgoing mail by a random amount. See Send-Time Randomisation.
Good to know: PrMail is not end-to-end encrypted in the way PGP is. Normal emails travel and are stored like any other email. Use a Secure Message when you need to send something sensitive.
Who can use PrMail
- Premium VPN, Business VPN and PremierVPN Complete include PrMail Pro at no extra cost.
- Standalone plans: PrMail Pro and PrMail Business can be bought on their own, without a VPN plan. A PrMail plan on its own is email only and doesn't include VPN access. See current prices and limits on the PrMail plans page.
Create your PrMail address
- Sign in to the portal at portal.premiervpn.net.
- Click Privacy suite › PrMail in the sidebar.
- If your plan includes PrMail, or you've bought a PrMail plan, you'll see Create your @prmail.uk address. If not, you'll see the options to upgrade your VPN plan (Upgrade my VPN plan or See VPN plans) or buy PrMail on its own (See PrMail plans and prices).
- Under 1. Choose your address, type the part before the @ (for example
yourname). It must be 3 to 32 characters: letters, numbers, dots, hyphens and underscores, starting and ending with a letter or number. The page tells you straight away if the address is available. You can't change your address later, but you can add aliases. - Under 2. Set an email password, enter a password of at least 8 characters and type it again. This is separate from your portal password.
- Click Create my email. Your inbox opens and is ready to use.
Some addresses are reserved and can't be registered, such as admin, support and postmaster.
Find your way around
Click Privacy suite › PrMail in the portal sidebar to open your inbox. The PrMail panel on the left has:
- Compose and Secure message buttons at the top.
- Folders, with unread counts, and a New folder link.
- Privacy tools: Secure messages (messages you've sent that self-destruct), Identities, Aliases, Search and Settings.
- A storage bar at the bottom showing how much of your mailbox you've used.
On a phone or tablet, the panel is hidden. Tap the bar with the folder icon at the top of the page to open it.
